MIDSTATES MULE AND DONKEY SHOW
SOCIETY SCHOLARSHIP AWARD PROGRAM
Only current Midstates members and immediate family members are eligible, which includes having a paid membership at least one year prior to application year.
Two (2) scholarships of five hundred dollars ($500) will be given annually.
Prospective recipient must be an active Midstates exhibitor currently or at least has been an active exhibitor within the three years prior to requesting the scholarship.
The financial aid will be made payable in the form of a check to the educational institution of their choice. The facility must be recognized by the “Board of Regents” or other governing body within the state where located as an institution of higher learning
Applicants for the financial aid must submit an application and a short essay detailing what impact exhibiting mules and donkeys has had on their lives and how the financial aid will be used.
In the event only one (1) applicant applies, the scholarship could, with the express permission of the governing committee, be combined into a one thousand dollar ($1000) scholarship.
An applicant may apply for the scholarship and be awarded the scholarship two (2) consecutive years only if no other applicants apply or if the applicant is demonstratibly superior.
Applicants must apply by the deadline set forth each year by a governing committee. The deadline, other pertinent information and selection of the recipient will be published in the newsletter.
The check can be made payable to the applicant in the event that the receipt of the award would adversely affect another scholarship or financial aid from another source. Documentation must be furnished that the award was used for its intended purpose.
This award program can be terminated at any time deemed appropriate by the Midstates Mule and Donkey Show Society.
A grade transcript from the applicants’ high school and or college must accompany the application.
Applications are due April 1st of the award year.
